Qlango Team

Marko Požarnik

CEO

I have always been interested in languages and programming. I began programming in 1986 and, by the age of 19 in 1993, I was already proficient in five languages at varying levels. During my studies in computer sciences at Maribor, Slovenia, I founded my first IT company in 2000. Since then, I have established several more companies across Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ukraine. However, I eventually decided to return to my primary passion – foreign languages. This led to the release of Qlango in 2017. Since its inception, I have been fully immersed in the project, contributing to its development, creating learning examples, addressing support queries, refining learning materials, translating content, programming, testing, and overseeing marketing efforts.

Danijel Čelig

Design

After graduating in Architecture in 1999, I discovered that I am also interested in many other areas of creative expression. In addition to architecture, I also found a deep interest in design, exploring the open-source 3D program Blender and game development. Marko and I have been friends for over 30 years and in 2016 I joined him to co-create Qlango. My responsibilities encompass UI/UX design, ideation, video production, testing and marketing material creation.

Мaryna Tymoshenko

I was born in Ukraine and grew up speaking Ukrainian. As I pursued my studies in management, I began using Russian in my daily life. In 2017, I met Marko and started assisting him with Qlango. Currently, I’m using Qlango to learn English and Slovenian, while also contributing to testing, providing user support within the app, and managing our social media marketing efforts.
