Delete your Qlango account

How to permanently delete your Qlango account and the personal data connected to it. This covers the Qlango app on Android, iOS and the web, published by Qlango d.o.o.

Deletion is permanent

Your learning progress, statistics and streaks cannot be restored afterwards, and the account cannot be recovered. If you only want to stop emails, you can turn the newsletter off in the app instead.

Two ways to delete your account

Either one works. Pick whichever is easier for you.

Option 1 — in the app

Delete it yourself

The fastest route if you can still sign in to your account.

  1. Open Qlango and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account settings.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Option 2 — by email

Ask us to delete it

Use this if you cannot sign in or no longer have the app installed.

  1. Send us your request — the form below writes the email for you.
  2. We may write back to confirm you own the account.
  3. Your account and personal data are deleted within 30 days.

Send your deletion request

Fill these in and we will write the email for you. Please send it from the address you use in Qlango — that is how we confirm the account is yours.

Open email to send request

Nothing happens automatically — you send the email, so you keep a copy of your request.

Button not working? Email support@qlango.com directly, with “Account deletion request” as the subject.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove the data we hold about you:

  • Your account identity: username, email address, name and country.
  • Your learning data: courses, lesson progress, stars, statistics, streaks, weekly plans and knowledge test results.
  • Your social activity: chat conversations and messages, learning-partner connections and Word Duel history.
  • Your device data: push notification tokens and saved app settings.
  • Referral records connected to your account.

What we keep, and why

A small amount of data outlives the account, because the law requires it or because it can no longer identify you:

Purchase and invoice records
Accounting and tax law requires us to keep proof of transactions. These records are kept for the statutory retention period and are not used for anything else.
Anonymised, aggregated statistics
Counts such as “how many lessons were completed this month” contain no personal data and can no longer be linked back to you, so they stay in our totals.
Records needed for a legal claim, dispute or fraud investigation
Only where an obligation or an active case requires it, and only for as long as that requires.

Cancel your subscription separately

If you have a Qlango Premium subscription, deleting your account does not cancel it — the subscription is billed by Google Play or the App Store, and only they can stop it. Cancel it in your Google Play or App Store account settings, otherwise it will keep renewing.
